Last weekend’s blissfully mellow days continued this weekend.
After a super busy week with track, I got to sleep in until 7:30! That might not sound like sleeping in to some, but when your regular wake up time is 4:45, it is glorious!
Following a bit of work, blog reading, and emailing, it was off for a 16-miler. Rob and I split up after 4 miles since his calf was bugging him, and I ran the last 12 alone.
Reaching the 16 mile mark is a big deal for me. At mile 16 during the two marathons I ran in Arizona, I cramped up, threw up, and had to walk/run/cry my way through the remaining 10 miles. Today’s run was a huge relief that I finished feeling good and averaged a 9:18 pace.
Now it’s a night full of pizza,
simple sangira, (zinfandel, club soda, brandy, and strawberries)
and Last Vegas.
Hopefully your Saturday was equally as relaxing!

Ahh….Living your weekend vicariously! I wish I could even walk 16 miles so effortlessly!!! You deserve as much pizza and sangria as you want!!! How was that movie?? Miss you!! xm
Thanks, Mom! The movie was pretty funny actually. I liked it a lot.
Yay for such an awesome run Brooke! You must have been so excited!!!
The sangria looks really yummy! I consider 8am to be sleeping in. If I sleep past 8, I feel like half my day is gone, lol!
Gunshow and I watched Last Vegas last weekend, I enjoyed it!
It must be a teacher problem…
HaHa – I’m with you – if I sleep till 7:00 it is a sleep in day!!
Great job on that 16 mile run – always a great feeling!
Last Vegas is on my list – hopefully in the next few weeks it will happen.
It was pretty funny. I definitely recommend seeing it for a silly, light-hearted movie night.
Nice job on that 16! Yesterday’s weather was so perfect for it, too!
It was absolutely gorgeous. I am loving this Colorado weather.
