Woot! Happy Friday!
Ok, admittedly Friday’s aren’t that exciting right now because of summer break where everyday feels like a Friday, but I’m particularly excited about Friday today because of Virtual Happy Hour!
Speaking of Johnny Depp, have you seen this?
Virtual Happy Hour posts are new around here. I’ve done one before, but I’m hoping to make them a Friday tradition. Some other bloggers do Virtual Coffee Date posts, but since I don’t drink coffee, and not much caffeine to start with, a happy hour post is more up my ally. Basically, it’s going to be an update on the week, thoughts kicking around, and whatever else is happening in life at the moment.
If we were at happy hour, we would be having it at my house because we’re having a giant housewarming party today! Sure, we’re still on subflooring in half the place, and the kitchen counter is the old upper cabinets glued to an old door, but we have food and lawn games ready to go! What is your favorite lawn game?
If we were at happy hour I would tell you that the Summer Burn started this week and the women in the group are killing it so far! Everyone is so motivated and supportive. I truly love putting these programs together and to see everyone benefiting and building a community from it makes me so incredibly happy. How are your workouts and fitness going this summer?
If we were at happy hour I would tell you that we tried Hello Fresh last week and loved it! I’m always looking for new dinners to make and Hello Fresh had easy to follow instructions for meals that took under 40 minutes. A little long for me, but it was fun to learn a few new tricks. Everything was delicious! Have you ever tried a food delivery service?
If we were at happy hour I would tell you that Blend and Fitbloggin both happened within 6 weeks of each other. I learned a great deal, about blogging and fellowship, from both events. Being around other bloggers is always fun because it totally normalizes checking your social media and taking random pictures at any given moment. Would you be interested in a recap of those events?
Here’s a super flattering picture from Fitbloggin’. You’re welcome.
If we were at happy hour I would tell you that the zucchini is growing like a weed. We decided to try a trellis situation this year, and so far so good, but those things are loving their spot! And the front tomato plant is taking off! How is your garden looking this year?

What I would say at happy hour: I love giving parties! I wish I could be there for yours. + I’m loving my new workout routine. Every day I do it I think “Next time I see that PT SIL of mine I’m going to set up a work out time with her!” + I’d say how my wee one is almost toilet trained and tell the story of how she almost put a #2 in the yard + I’d also want to talk about my new found love for quinoa and homemade spaghetti sauce.
