There is something about the approaching holidays and fresh white snow, which we had for the first time today, that just makes me want cranberries.Maybe it’s their bright red color, or their tart taste, or even the nostalgia of being charged with cutting a pound of them in half during family Christmases to make bread (worst job ever). Whatever it is, cranberries are on my mind right now.
For lack of holiday decorations, and for a love of tasty cocktails, I now have a number of bottles of cranberries infusing some vodka with their deliciousness.
I made a total of 4.5 liters. Four, one-liter bottles, and one, half-liter bottle. If you’d like to have some for your holidays, or for gifts, I recommend starting them now. The cranberries need about 2-6 weeks to fully release their flavors.
Once ready, the vodka should be best served as is, or with some sparkling water. Simple, delicious, and ready to make some serious memories!
I thrifted my bottles from Savers, but you can find them decently priced at Target or Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Wow! You are so fancy, Brooke. I have never made an infused alcoholic beverage before, but my husband makes different infused olive oils for Christmas gifts. I sometimes have a hard time drinking Vodka, but I can drink tequila easily. Can you infuse tequila?
Hahaha, thanks, Kristen. It only looks fancy because of the colors. I have no idea about infusing tequila, but why not try it? What’s the worst that could happen?
You are amazing! What a creative idea and the bottles are so pretty!! I’ve got to start “creating” interesting holiday gifts!!! You “go” girl!!!
Thanks, Mom! I’m hoping to bring one home for Christmas.
Nice!! I love this and plan to try immediately!!
My favorite flavored vodka is Chocolate Cake Vodka – good stuff!!!
Oooh, I’ve never have Chocolate Cake Vodka. Sounds intense but delicious.
Hello Brooke,
Do you strain the cranberries and limes before pouring in individual bottles? I am thinking of making this to give away to friends. What is the shelf life?
Thank you so much!
You could strain them, or you could add them to individual bottles for the pretty factor. I would give it a two week shelf life.
