Rob and I landed back in Denver last night after a busy, family-filled week in Minnesota. Between birthday parties and lasagna dinners, it was refreshing to be able to catch up with everyone without the wedding looming over our conversations.
In one week, we managed to go
sledding,
zoo visiting,
New Year’s Eve bowling,
museum touring,
bundling,
Mile A Day walking,
and bird watching
I woke up this morning ready for another day trip adventure, but sadly, today is devoted to getting back into the swing of things while preparing for work tomorrow. There was pouting. Thankfully tomorrow is a teacher inservice day, which means I have one more day before the students arrive.

NYE bowling looks like a fantastic idea! Glad you had fun and happy to hear you made it back safely. I was ready to get back into the swing of things post-holidays until this terrible, massive cold hit me and knocked me out and the idea of ever going back to work sounds icky.
Sounds like y’all had a fun week!!!
I like to ease back after a vacation. Even though we stayed home for our break it has been a great break and we just found out that school has been cancelled for tomorrow (extreme cold, snow and ice) so we truly can ease back in!
Yikes! Stay warm!
Looks like a great trip! I wish we had inservice today… I had to get to work super early to make sure all my ducks were in a row.
The inservice really helped ease back into things. Hope your Monday wasn’t too rough!
I hate the “day before” normal starts again. It takes a while to get back into the swing of your routine. Then once you are finally use to it, vacation happens again! lol
Hope you have a great Monday!!!!
Exactly! It’s a vicious cycle, but we are so lucky to get all the breaks we do as teachers.
