With my new forary into learning how to lift, I am struggling to balance both arm and leg days.
I figure I get in my leg workout when I run, however briefly. My biggest fear is that I will look like this:
Obviously, that won’t happen (I hope). To try and balance out all the lifting attention my arms get, and the lack of my legs get, I have been doing this Combination Sensation workout every now and then:
What I really like about it is that it combines an arm and leg lift in one movement. Lunge and bicep curl at the same time. Boom. Calf raise while doing a shoulder fly. Score.
Two birds, one stone. Plus, you get a total body workout in about half the time it would take to focus on both arms and legs.
Negatives? Both your arms and legs will be jelly when you’re done. Not only will you be wobbly walking, but your arms will be too shaky to catch yourself. Enjoy!

Ha ha I do not think you will look like a cartoon! And whoa that workout is intense. I uh, need to work on working out my legs and arms like you do. Just so much work!
It’s the big upper body, little lower body look I’m afraid of. There just isn’t enough time in the day for it all, is there?
I am bookmarking this to try!!!
Let me know how it goes! Can’t wait to hear about your race this weekend!
I definitely want to try this! I’ve been looking for things to do with just some weights that I can do at home instead of using the weight machines at the gym.
The machines at the gym scare me. I feel like I’m locked into some torture contraption. I am all about the free weights.
