Our weekend in Hoi An was pretty great. We spent three days relaxing on the beach, walking around the small city, and spending entirely too much money on clothes and presents for family.

I loathe shopping. Something about my being 6 feet tall and having long legs just makes it an entirely unpleasant experience. However, when people will measure me, help me pick fabrics, and custom make my clothes, I am in!

The one down side about the weekend: it was hot! Like, sweating-through-my-entire-shirt-my-brain-is-melting kind of hot. Rob and I were not as good with the sunblock as we should have been and ended up very sunburned.

The kind of hat I could have used to protect against the sun.

Good learning experience before we jet off to Thailand for ten days, right?

Now it’s back to the grind for a 6-day work week and an insane amount of things to take care of as we approach our return-to-US date very quickly. I’ll be eating at Chili’s again before I know it!
