On to the beautiful sunrise that made going to work this morning much easier:
Today was one of those days where I felt like I was putting out one fire after another.
Thankfully, my principals planned a happy hour for after work. It was so nice to soak up some sun (it was 70 degrees today!) and laugh with a bunch of my coworkers.
Tomorrow brings on the last day of high-stakes standardized testing, thank goodness!
The kids are exhausted and I am super anxious for their scores. Hopefully they can keep it together for this third day!

The weather in Denver is so strange! I am kind of loving it though. It’s a nice way to get through the winter without extended deep freezes.
Standardized testing is brutal – I think it’s almost more pressure for the teachers than the kids!!
Monday was great because Jordan got home from his trip!!

I hope the testing went well. In the school that I have been working in, the students are having MAJOR anxiety about testing. I think since this is the new year with the COMMON CORE testing. Ughhhh! I guess it has been said that parents can opt to have their students not take the test, which I thought was really interesting!
Parents can opt out, but it is a huge deal if they do. Lots of paperwork for the parents and the school.
