Popping in for just a short post today. My thoughts are a bit scattered from a team meeting that happened earlier today and I am still trying to sort out how I feel about it. I will spare you my incoherent, frustrated thoughts until later, potentially. Just know it was similar to what was said to me here.
I just have to keep in mind that these little messages that were left around my room today is the reason I have been in teaching this long.
The students in my district call everyone “Ms.” I’m not sure if it’s because it’s faster, or if because there is such a high teacher turn-over.
In other news, currently there are stacks and slips of things all over my kitchen table. I have put off wedding thank you notes for far too long and am determined that they be finished this weekend.
While that’s going, my piles of workouts written on slips of paper is driving me crazy. I have to get organized with these! Any ideas?
RQ: Do meetings frustrate you, or do you let it be? How long did your thank you notes take to write? How do you organize all your workout ideas/want-to-try’s?

With workouts I keep them in a notebook or type them up – I can’t handle little pieces of paper. My first year teaching the kids called me Miss – just Miss – it was a purposeful disrespect (they did it to other teachers, too). I usually just ignored them until they said my name correctly – it didn’t take long for them to figure it out.
It’s not a disrespect thing here. For some reason, they think it’s more respectful.
I cannot speak to your teaching experiences but organization is one of my favorites. A binder with those see through pocket pages. Thats what I end up doing with my slips of paper that have half-baked recipe ideas.I bet it’s the same concept.
Ooo. Good idea!
I’m so nerdy but I love to write thank you notes so I think a week after the wedding I was writing them! I love letters 🙂
Wow! Impressive! I love letters too, just not writing over 100 of them. I really can’t complain though!
