This giveaway is now closed, but I am still obsessed with Gnarly!
Hello Friends! I hope your weekend is going well. It has been hot here in Denver the past few days and I’m starting to miss our typical afternoon storms for their cooling powers. Since our house doesn’t have AC, we have just been opening all the windows and doors and waiting for a cross breeze. So far, it’s working!
At least the heat is making the zucchini and cucumbers grow, so I’ll take it.
While I sit here in the cross breeze, let’s chat about protein powders. Since Rob and I are a poster couple for Costco (seriously, everything we buy is from there), naturally, we bought a giant thing of Whey protein powder. A generic brand in vanilla flavor.
I threw some in my smoothie a few mornings and by about 9 (I have breakfast around 6), I felt lethargic, bloated, and a bit sick. Something about that Whey protein was not working for me.
At Blend this year, Gnarly Nutrition sponsored a workout and gave out some samples of their protein powder. In chocolate flavor.
You guys. I am hooked. Not only is the taste delicious (hello, chocolate!), but it is the first Whey protein powder I’ve tried that hasn’t made my stomach hurt. Here is what I think the difference is: (from their website)
“Gnarly sources our protein from New Zealand so we can provide you with the highest quality whey sustainably. It’s clean of Hormones, antibiotics and pesticides. The cattle in New Zealand are grass fed and manage humanely. This impacts the flavor of our protein and how the protein is digested and assimilated by your body.”
and this: (also from their website)
“Tired of being bloated, gassy and uncomfortable after your protein shake? Say good bye to uncomfortable digestive problems, post workout. Gnarly adds pre and probiotics and digestive enzymes to all of our protein products allowing your body to get the most use possible out of this high quality protein.”
It’s like they’re speaking directly to me. About a half scoop in my Go To Blueberry Smoothie in the mornings and I’m set.
To go with your Gnarly protein, try this arm workout before your smoothie or shake. It focuses on your arms, but your whole body will benefit. Please make sure you warm up before any workout!
If you want to try some Gnarly Whey Protein Powder for yourself, the company is generously offering a FULL tub in the flavor of your choice to one reader! To enter the giveaway, just enter the Rafflecopter giveaway before Thursday, June 25! (This giveaway is now closed.)

I don’t get gnarly any more. Maybe this protein powder will help.
I get Gnarly by always taking a dance break in the middle of my workout. It’s a great way to relax my muscles.
I get gnarly by working out in all weather conditions!
This is my favorite giveaway question ever. 🙂 I’m hoping to get gnarly this summer by running lots of trails!
I share my gnarliness by working out with my kids! Gnarliness for everybody 🙂
I get gnarly when I’m HUNGRY (or hangry). I love my protein in the AM but have you seen the price of eggs lately???OMG!
Work out those muscles and trim those fats by using some diet supplements with your workout routine.
I have never seen Gnarly Nutrition products before but it looks like a decent product. Thanks for the review!
A proper workout is best partnered with supplements to maximize the results.
I agree. But, I agree that the supplements should be based on what your body actually needs. Pre workout is not one of those things that the average person needs to have a solid workout.
Do not abuse workout supplements though, it must always be paired with proper diet and exercise.
