It is COLD and SNOWY here in Colorado! Yes, I know last year got down to -8, but I am just not prepared for this weather. At least last year we had gorgeous, warm, sunny days sprinkled throughout, so I am hoping this winter follows suit.
Let’s ignore this weather and talk about snacks!
For the last few months, I have been pretty bored with my snack choices, and meals in general. I’ve got the meal thing figured out, but snacks are still giving me some issues. Nothing sounds good. Even my typically unhealthy snack foods don’t sound good.
While playing around on Facebook, I saw an add for NatureBox. It’s a snack subscription service in which you can pick what types of snacks you would like to try and get them delivered to your door. This is the perfect thing for a teacher as the snacks do not need to refrigerated, which means they can live in a desk drawer!
My NatureBox showed up within a few days and it’s pretty safe to say that I’m hooked! Before I even get into the snacks, you should know that for every box the company ships, they donate one meal to Feeding America. Definitely worth it.
Since it was a sample NatureBox, I didn’t get to choose what was in my box, but I loved three out of the five snacks in the box. Here is what was in my box and what I thought:
Cashew Crumbles. These were above and beyond my absolute favorite in the entire box. I even ordered them again for next month. They are basically crumbled cookies with cashews mixed in. They were crunchy, slightly sweet, and made the perfect afternoon pick me up snack. I ate the whole bag within in a day! I just couldn’t get enough!
Garden Tomato Crunchies. These slivered almonds dusted with tomato flavor were really good. I added them to my salad for some crunch and wished I had a bigger bag of them. Definitely recommended.
Sea Salt Sun Crunch. These little cookies weren’t bad at all. They had a nice crunch and the perfect amount of salt. They were a touch bland, so I just crumbled them and added them to my salad.
Coconut Cashews. While these coconut coated cashews were ok, they were way too sweet for me. I’m not a huge fan of coconut to begin with, but if you are, these will be right up your alley. I do know that these are one of NatureBox’s best sellers though.
Cinnamon Swirl Kettle Kernels. These guys were my least favorite out of all five snacks. The cinnamon was just too sweet on the corn kernels and apart from that, they didn’t taste like anything. Since I taste-tested these at school, my students were more than happy to devour the rest of the package.
The fun part about NatureBox is that I can pick what comes in my next box, or just let them surprise me. Since I’m working on getting excited about snack time again, I went through the site and picked my next five snacks. Doesn’t this list look delicious?
You do not just have to use the online subscription service to enjoy NatureBox snacks, you can pick them up at Target, Safeway, and Sprouts. Perfect if you cannot wait until your next box.

Yum! The sea salt sun crunch sounds great. I am a sucker for salty, crunchy snacks.
Last year Adam got my mom a NatureBox subscription for Christmas and she has been loving it! I think we’ll renew her subscription this year 🙂
I may need to get one for myself too!
