Yesterday, it was snowing and gross outside (yes, snow in May), and I just didn’t have it in me to head down to the gym. I wanted to workout after filming videos for the Spring Burn; I was just not motivated to leave the house to do it.
Enter the Basic Card Workout. I grabbed a deck, decided what each suit would be, and got to flipping. A no-equipment needed workout that I could in my living room while watching bad TV? That’s what I call a win.
Card workouts are a great way to relieve boredom of counting sets and knowing what is coming next in your workout. They also limit your workout to 5 moves only, making it easy to remember what everything is without referring to a bunch of youtube videos.
Here are the only videos you need to watch for this:
For a bonus: time how long it takes to get through the deck one time through. Then, shuffle up and try to beat your time a second flip through!
RQ: Are you a fan of card workouts? Do you feel motivated to workout in dreary weather?

I love card workouts- the variety and portability is amazing!!!
Snow in May?! No thank you – it’s coldish here today but sunny!
That’s what I love about them. Yes, we had snow last Monday and hail today. Crazy Colorado.
Awesome idea! And great for the bad weather we had. What a sad week of May!
I can’t believe how much snow we had on Monday!
