Happy Hump Day! I thought I would catch you all up a bit on the week.
The school year is starting to wind down and my students are going a little bonkers. Today was particularly crazy as we had 6 teachers absent and only 2 subs. Yikes.
The good news is it’s Teacher Appreciation Week! My district put on a really nice happy hour, appetizer event for Tuesday after work. Topped off with buy one get one at Chipotle with your teacher ID, Tuesday just about rocked.
Friday brings my last track meet. Hooray! The athletes are getting injured and tired, so it’s truly perfect timing. At least there was a gorgeous stormy sky to entertain us during practice today.
This week has been full of planning for the next Burn. I am so so excited for the next one starting June 2. More information to come next week!
That about catches you up on this week!
RQ: What has been going on with you this week? Do you take advantage of BOGO deals?

Yay for buy one get one at chipotle! And that your track season is just about done. My week has been busy just catching up on life without a big race looming in front of me.
It must be such a relief to have the marathon behind you. But the question begs: When is the next one?
Back to Basic Burn? I will be interested in that. I am very much back to basic as well as back to square #1. 🙂
You have definitely had a rough month. You’ll be back at it soon, I’m sure. Looking forward to your visit in a few days!
I like the idea of a “happy hour” app thing for the teachers. This year I have done teacher appreciation at the middle school and told them I would do it again next year so I’m always looking for fun new ideas!
Thank you for doing something for the teachers! As a former teacher yourself, you know exactly how much things like that are appreciated.
I feel like I have been “on” all week. This week was my first “full” week of being back in the classroom and my head is spinning. I just want to lay down on the couch but blogs and lesson plans are calling my name!
Hope you are doing well 🙂
That “on” feeling plagues teachers all too much. Looking forward to reading about your new class!
Happy Teacher Appreciation week! 6 absent teachers and 2 subs = chaos!!
Thank you! Happy Teacher Appreciation to YOU.
