Thank you for all your good lucks on yesterday’s track meet. Being such a small team (8 kids came to the meet), we definitely needed it while competing with some of the huge schools.
The meet went well. Since a lot of the track athletes are newbies, it was more a learn-how-a-meet-works type of thing. Hopefully the kids can perform a bit better at Wednesday’s meet.
Plus, the weather was a bit miserable, so I knew we wouldn’t have any incredible performances. This is how straight the flags were the entire day:
I packed my scarf, hat, and gloves on a whim, but was so thankful to have them!
The kids just went the straight up blanket route. They only had on their uniforms underneath their sweats!
It was easy to thaw out today, though. My long run (13.5 miles) was beautiful. A long sleeve and capri spandex were a bad choice as I got hot pretty fast. Oops.
And now, I’m off to bed. This weekend, with it’s early Saturday wakeup (4:45 for a 6 am bus), whipped me out!
