While Rob and I were living in Vietnam, we kept up a travel blog called Tall Tales Abroad that documented our trips through South East Asia.
The blog was so much fun to write that it was weighted on the pros side of staying when we were debating moving back to the states after the school year ended.
Writing about our travels was a complete blast. As a result of that, I want to semi-resurect Tall Tales by sharing tidbits, stories, pictures, and moments from our travels both past, present, and future on Tuesdays. “Travels” are going to be considered anything that gets us out of Denver. If there’s a good story out of something we did in the next city over, it counts.
Some tales for your to look forward to include:
- Saved in Supai
- Drunk on a horse
- Why we can’t hang in Thailand
- Bus driving in Vietnam, aka taking your life in your hands
- Beach parties
- The most awkward hotel room
- Stuck in the canyon
- Market madness
- The Dead Sea is actually dead
- Why monkey’s are the worst
These are just a few of the things I have in mind to share on Tall Tales Tuesdays!
If you followed Tall Tales Abroad, know that there is so much more we didn’t include there. Time, overwhelming numbers of pictures, working on digesting it all, we just couldn’t get it all down!
Hopefully you’re looking forward to this new edition to the blog as much as I am!

Thanks for the support and excitement! Yes, drunk on a horse. I wasn’t the one drunk or on the horse.
I’m looking forward to your “new” stories. I love reading about past stories of bloggers. I feel it makes me more connected to them, especially if I haven’t been following them for too long. Side note: I was looking through my blog the other day and I found your first comment – it was March of last year! I can’t believe I have been following you for almost a year – it has been exciting to see the many wonderful things occur in your life!!
Wow! A whole year?! That is amazing!
Oh – I can’t wait to “travel” along with y’all. What a great idea for a series. I can tell by the upcoming topics you listed that it is going to be fun to read!
I hope you enjoy it!
